Amazing progress today!!

Since Oskar has been peeing and eating the last 2 days, his creatinine level dropped 2 points on its own before dialysis today!!!  He was a steady 9ish for over a week now and suddenly dropped today to a 7. Kidney doctor says this is miraculous progress and the plans for outpatient dialysis after discharge are now hopefully lessened. They’re keeping him inpatient status until at least Saturday and discharge planning has begun to get him home. He was a totally different dog than they’ve been used to seeing this morning and he made everyone’s day with awesome labs and clinical appearance.  Today was the best phone call in over 2 weeks and I wish his primary physician was on duty today to see it and call me, but he deserves a few days off.  They’re having us hold off on visiting for now and plan the next visit as a pickup visit. Still praying he keeps up the progress and doesn’t disappoint us. St. Rocco and St. Francis must be watching over him. Thank you for your support and following our journey through this.
