Yesterday we met with our new PT that is going to work with Noah on horses (hippotherapy). It went so well, and she's excited to see how well it will strengthen his core!

I cannot believe how much a strong core affects every other developmental milestone for these kiddos. By strengthening his core on the horses, it will help with balance, coordination, and strengthen pretty much everything in his upper body. The motion of the horses will also mimic walking to hopefully help him get the mind/body connection working better for him so that way he can build the confidence to start running all around. This is going to be so good for him, and I cannot wait to see things click into place!

His PT gave him this button that he will use on the horse to help him "say" if he wants to go. So today, he played around with it and caught on really quickly when I was wanting him to tell me when to start clapping!

We will most likely start using assistive devices in the near future since most of the MEF2C kids have difficulties with expressive language, but it absolutely warmed my heart to see how excited he was when he saw that pushing the button made me clap for him.

Go Noah! ❤️
