Fun on Horses!

Noah has had officially two sessions with hippotherapy so far! The first session wasn't very picture-worthy since he was pretty upset that he couldn't fling his body around like he wanted, but this last session went much better! He was still pretty vocal about not loving it since it's hard work engaging his core for 20 minutes straight, but I'm starting to see him and his horse build a connection which was absolutely beautiful.
Jennifer, who is the Physical Therapist who works with him, described to me how the horses build such a bond with these children that they physically get upset when they are upset which is something I didn't really expect to see. You could even see it in their faces when Noah was crying, they almost looked like they were sad.
But, I know with each session he has, he will get used to it and know what to expect just like every other therapy he's been in.
Adding in weekly hippotherapy makes that a total of 5 therapies every single week, so I know our sweet boy is really working hard to move mountains. Thank you to all of you who have reached out and told me how fun it is to watch Noah progress. Sometimes it's hard to see the small things when you're there every single day, but going from not even putting weight on his feet at 6 months to riding a horse at 2.5 is absolutely INCREDIBLE! So thank you all for following along with his journey!
