Nick's Recovery
We had to be at the hospital at 5:30 am! Nick was scheduled for his routine heart catherization since it has already been a year since he got his new heart!. They took him to pre op and got him ready and I signed the many consent forms. They took him to the OR to remove his port first! He did great with that! Then he went down to the cath lab! The surgeons were very pleased and said that his heart sounded phenomenol! They sent off several biopsies, so we hope for no rejection! He has issues with anasthesia at times, but so far, so good! We are in his room and he enjoyed watching a movie with Morgan! He's finally asleep now! Tomorrow he is having his GJ tube replaced! They will be putting a bigger one in. It's getting tight from him gaining so much weight! The nutritionist finally adjusted his feeds, so he won't continue gaining so much! It's been a decent day, but we are all ready to get home so we can get some sleep. I've been up over 24 hrs and I am exhausted! We are planning on taking him to intensive therapy. Until then, he will still be getting his regular therapies at home! Thank you so much for all of the prayers and support to help us get through this journey! We love you all!
