Nick had pain off and on Friday and a little pain on Saturday.  On Saturday, we decorated and prepared food and had the family over to celebrate his birthday.  He sat up in his chair almost the whole time, which was 2 hours.  He is still not eating anything by mouth, but I slipped in some buttercream icing anyway.  Morgan, his sister blew his candles out for him.  We all sang "Happy Birthday" and before we finished, he smiled so big!  My heart almost exploded!  Nick took a little nap after his 2 o'clock meds and that is when everybody ate.  Then Morgan opened each card for him and read each one to him.  She opened his presents for him as well.  They are such precious children.  They love each other so much!
