We are just so grateful for all the support from everyone thus far. Our community's love keeps us strong. We want to share some exciting news about a treatment called Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, or HBOT, and how it might help children like Merritt.

HBOT is a special therapy where people breathe in 100% oxygen inside a special room or tube called a hyperbaric chamber. This could be very helpful for kids with cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy is a condition that affects the way the brain communicates with our muscles, making it hard for some kids to move.  Merritt has low tone or hypotonia, where some kids have higher tones or mixed tones in their bodies.

The idea is that breathing in all that oxygen can help heal parts of the brain and improve muscle control. It aims to revive dormant neurons, reduce inflammation, and promote neuroplasticity, potentially improving motor function, spasticity, cognition, and speech.  Some families have seen positive changes in their kids after using HBOT including improved gross/fine motor skills, reduced spasticity, increased alertness, and improved cognitive and speech abilities.
We're excited to explore this therapy for Merritt and see if it can help him.

Thank you again for your love and support as we continue on this journey together.
