During the holiday rush, navigating crowds with Merida in her wheelchair becomes challenging. In grocery stores, her height is just below the top of carts, making her easy to overlook. She usually announces herself in aisles, but in malls and clothing stores—where people are distracted with phones, bags, or racks—she can become a tripping hazard. Even with us beside her, people are often startled; some politely move around, while others seem annoyed and expect her to adjust for them.
