A little Meadow update 💕

Lately, so much of our time has been spent simply showing up for Meadow.

We are working hard with her gait trainer and continuing her weekly OT, PT, speech, swim, and chiropractic care. There are many hours spent in therapy each week, and while it can sometimes feel like our entire calendar revolves around appointments, we have seen just how much these therapies have helped Meadow grow.

Every session matters. Every repetition matters. Every little bit of progress matters.

For Meadow, these therapies aren’t just appointments. They are opportunities to build strength, learn new skills, and give her brain and body the chance to keep making those important connections. And we are so grateful to be able to give her those opportunities. ❤️

With a medically complex child, we have also spent countless hours seeing specialists—from vision and hearing to so many other areas along the way. So today, we get to celebrate something that feels like a really big little victory:

Meadow has officially been cleared by audiology! 🎉

For some reason, the hearing appointments always frustrated me. Every time we had to go back, I would think, I know she can hear. I knew it from the way she responded to sounds, the way she turned toward us, and all those tiny things that a mom just knows.

But there was always another appointment. Another test. Another box that needed to be checked.

And finally hearing that she is cleared feels incredible.

One less specialist. One less question mark. One less thing to worry about. ❤️

These are the moments that remind us why we keep going.

The therapies, the travel, the appointments, the equipment, the endless hours and all of the work behind the scenes—it can be a lot. But when we see Meadow doing something today that she couldn’t do before, it makes every bit of it worth it.

We don’t know exactly what Meadow’s journey will look like, but we do know that she deserves every opportunity to reach her potential.

And that is why we keep showing up.
