Mason Graves
It was a slower day for Mason.
He was “demoted” to a different room. Which is fantastic because it means he is moving in the right direction. He is still getting extensive care, but it is nice knowing he is a little less critical at the moment.
Mason has PT to do throughout the day. The exercises are to help keep his skin moving and stretching. I have to say he’s a trooper. The exercises are painful, but necessary for his recovery.
The goal for him today was rest. He was happy to be allowed to drink milk. They did place a nasogastric tube (feeding tube through his nose to his stomach). This will help him get the nutrients he needs until he has an appetite and is able to eat readily. I asked him the other day if he was going for a “hot girl summer” and he said that’s the plan. (It is an inside joke for a diet)
They have been discussing physical therapy and out patient options with Mason. He will likely remain in the hospital for the next couple of weeks. It is a breath of fresh air learning he has those options in the foreseeable future.
Thank you again for all of the thoughts and prayers. Mason and his family are grateful for the support.
