November was rough!

Mack has been sick since the 1st of November with Rhino virus which also caused bronchiolitis. Blake and I also caught it. We have been in and out of the hospital with Mack including a trip to the PICU.

Over all, Mack has handled it well and hasn’t developed pneumonia. When his doctors listen to me about what his baseline is they have a better idea of how much support he needs and we’ve been able to manage at home well. We are still doing breathing treatments every 4 hours. We are hoping he kicks the cough and chest congestion really soon because this has been TERRIBLE. I also caught a stomach bug the day before thanksgiving which left me bed ridden for 3 days and still very iffy the last two. More help or nursing during the month of November probably would’ve yielded a quicker recovery time for everyone but we are working with what he have.

We are looking to add to our team of nurses especially after all that! Talk about running on fumes. We never want to experience that again.

Our trip to Texas is coming up so soon! We are accepting donations indefinitely to support Mack’s treatment so it’s never too late to donate if you would still like to! If your family likes to donate to a cause for Christmas we would love to have Mack’s SupportNow page considered in that regard.

After treatment in Texas we will need to purchase a laser for home use, other recommended tools, supplements,  follow up visits and maybe explore some other treatment options if they’re presented to us.

Having the freedom to choose alternative treatments like these is such a blessing and is a huge determining factor of Mack’s prognosis.

I hope you all had a better thanksgiving than we did! 🫶🏼
