We got home from Mack’s admission for a cold yesterday afternoon. we were there for 2.5 days. Daddy gathered up all of Mack’s stuffed animals to welcome him home! For a few more days we will be in the suction trenches. Suctioning (with our new prescribed suction machine), percussion sessions and nebulizing for as long as he needs assistance. This is Mack’s 3rd illness and he’s doing great!
Our night nurse kept up the suction and nebulizer schedule for us last night and it was such a needed break.
Next steps:
-Mack has a 24hr EEG scheduled with Akron children's next week to follow up on his seizure activity and see if keto and epidiolex are improving anything from his sleep study EEG in september.

-After Mack is well for a hand full of days we will complete the functional labs for Neuro solutions!
-We also have a supplement to order called StemRegen Release, recommended to us by Dr Crawford. This supplement will put active stem cells into circulation in Mack’s body allowing more stem cells available for his body to use for healing and growing on its own. This will also set him up great for treatment in January. Mack’s neurologist and keto dietician at Akron children’s say there is no reason he can’t take it a far as drug interactions or keto restrictions so we are ordering this supplement this week!
If you’d like to help with the cost of his supplements or treatments at Neurosolutions you can do so by donating on our support now page which is still active and will be for the whole duration of Mack’s alternative treatment journey.

The donations still coming in give us so much hope about the ability to go back to NeuroSolutions for continued care in the future.

I love being Mack’s mama and I love advocating for him. I would become a doctor just to be able to care for him the way I think he deserves. I hope our story telling has empowered some families to never stop looking for care providers that share your goals. Just that small mindset shift on your child’s care team nourishes the courage to start dreaming for them again.
