Hello Everyone,

Our dear friend, Lori, is finally home from the hospital. She stayed a bit longer than planned (that 10-inch incision will do it to ya every time)! We are so glad she can continue to recover in the comfort of her home with her girls and family!

Lori is so grateful for all of the donations and support. She has been able to use the money we've generated so far to pay for her ambulance bill and part of her emergency room bills.

She has been in quite a bit of pain, which is, of course, discouraging and really makes this journey hit home.

As for a cancer update, the biopsy revealed the cancer is Clear Cell Ovarian Cancer. The doctor said that with this kind of cancer, the stage is irrelevant. The chemo is really about making sure every little piece is taken care of so Lori can kick cancer's trash - yet again!

Clear Cell is a very aggressive cancer, which is not great news. But, it is a positive that it is the same cancer as last time, rather than an entirely new beast.

Assuming Lori's recovery from surgery stays on track, the doctor would like Lori to begin chemo in 3 weeks - which feels a bit overwhelming right now - post-surgery. It's a lot to process.

Thank you to everyone who has already contributed. We still have some medical bills we want to knock out, and we want to give her some respite from working during chemo. Thank you for continuing to share her page, the donation link, and her Venmo (@lori-sill). You're the best. We will add meal/errand opportunities as we know more about what Lori needs moving forward.

All updates will come through this page, so give it a follow if you want the emails, and PLEASE SHARE! Even $5 makes a difference.
