Lizzie loves being outside and around friends!
She had a blast today at our homeschool meetup and loved taking a walk through the woods.
Lizzie cannot regulate her temperature very well, so although we are not able to stay too long, we still try and get out when our schedule allows so BOTH girls can enjoy the beautiful summer weather!
Today we also did our first "syringe bolus" feeds. This is where we have a huge syringe with her food in it and we manually put it through her tube. It takes some time (we did not want to do it too fast since it was the first time) but again, she could take a bottle in 5 minutes so we found a happy medium of about 10 minutes to administer two of her feed today. She did okay with it, just will take some getting used to when we can't/don't want to do a long drawn out pump feed.
She then had a chiropractor appointment where we noticed she had less tension in her upper back! I can make a guess that her having less belly/gas pain is allowing her to relax some, so I am curious to see how that continues moving forward.
Lizzie is still getting bottles over night to sooth, but we are working on slowly replacing them!
