Cycle 2

Well, yesterday, Lincoln’s lab work was good enough to get him admitted and to start cycle 2 of chemo (I guess exclamation point).  It was definitely an emotional start to the day, Lincoln had a lot of sad and angry feelings about the whole situation.  Cancer really sucks.

There was one highlight in the day though, we got to go to The Zone (play area for kids), and Lincoln got to have golf lessons and then got to pick out some toys at The Ryan Seacrest Studios!

After, we went back to the room and he started chemotherapy.  He will receive two different chemo infusions daily over 5 days during this cycle.  The first one went as well as can be expected, a lot of nausea but we managed to stay ahead of the vomiting.  We seem to have a better handle on which medications work better for him to treat the nausea.

We will see how the next few days go and will keep updating.  Otherwise, it’s a busy weekend as we are welcoming a new Au Pair today and have a soccer tournament this weekend!  Thank you again for the amazing outpouring of support!

I am thankful that Lincoln was able to start cycle 2 (even though that feels weird to type). I am thankful for you, Dave, for sending along these updates. I am thankful to see Lincoln's smile. I pray that God be a close comforter to y'all when sadness, anger, worry, and darkness creep in.

Oh, God, be near with Lincoln and the Hocevar family! Provide strength and hope!
