We made it through the last round of chemo!! Had a little difficulty with nausea and this round really wiped Lincoln out. He just felt very exhausted. But on Monday, we were discharged and Lincoln got to ring the bell for completing chemo! It was so meaningful and emotional. The staff was amazing and made it so special. Dave and I couldn't help but reflect on when this all started. We were told chemo would take about 4-6 months, at the time that sounded like an eternity. Now, 5 months later and a major brain surgery, we are on the other side of that. We couldn't have gotten through this difficult time with out all your love and support. We are so grateful to you all.
We still have radiation to get through and we are not completely sure what that looks like, but we will find out soon enough. Before radiation, Lincoln needs to have a MRI and a lumbar puncture, these are scheduled for the end of the month. We will definitely keep you posted as we move into this new chapter.
We are unable to post the video of him ringing the bell here, but will put it on facebook.
