We made it through our 1st DMI and NISE-STIM therapy! It was a wonderful week at a beautiful ranch in Sarasota. Lian did amazing and was a trooper. We met the sweetest people that loved and poured into Lian a I. These daily therapies consisted of 2 hrs. First half was getting him standing with his braces and taking steps with a walker and the second half was the hippotherapy which he rode on a horse named Honey Pie. All these sessions helped Lian with his posture, working on strengthening his core, legs, back and balance. Along with eletrical stimulation targeting muscles and nerves to be activated. He also did aqua therapy which was helpful to know that he could benefit from this type of therapy back home. We left with lots of information and excited to incorporate it in his therapies. Most importantly we felt seen and loved. On the first day I walked into the ranch my eyes teared up with gratitude towards God and thinking of everyone that has felt in their hearts to give towards Lian's journey.
