Lauren Cassady Smith
Lauren had a much calmer night last night, able to rest some and be a little more comfortable.
Today, we’ve seen several doctors, everyone is pleased with how much better she is today! She’s been up out of the bed several times and is able to open her eyes a little more often. She’s talking more and smiling some. Eating a little. Lots of rest today, partly a recovery day from all the activity yesterday.
Vertigo, especially when opening her eyes, is the big challenge right now. Pray the vertigo settles down and she is able to keep working hard to retrain her brain to understand vestibular input in a new way. Sitting still and quiet with eyes closed feels best, but she is working hard and doing difficult things!
Thank you all for your kind words and prayers. We are seeing good progress each day. This is a tough road of recovery, but Lauren keeps pressing forward!
