Lauren continues to improve! She is talkative this morning. She is wanting to eat and drink, which is a welcome change! Her vertigo and vision have improved so much! 
On Sunday/Monday, Lauren started experiencing a CSF (cerebral spinal fluid) leak, some dripping of clear liquid from her nose. This is a complication from the surgery. After discussing with her surgeons, they have opted for a conservative approach to treat the leak due to it appearing to be a small leak. They placed a lumbar drain to relieve pressure and give her body a chance to seal the leak. It will need to be in for about 5 days, so she’ll be in the hospital a little longer than initially anticipated. The lumber drain is causing some pretty rough headaches, especially with position changes, so her walking and mobility progress is on hold. Her spirits remain positive and she has a “we can do hard things” attitude that is serving her well.
