Lauren had a tough night of vertigo and nausea, all very common with this surgery, but also no fun! All the doctors feel the surgery went very well and these symptoms during recovery are par for the course. She’s alert and able to converse, but being still and quiet feels best. We’ve seen several doctors this morning, coming in to check on her. She ROCKED her first physical therapy session - transferred to the chair and stayed up for about 30 min! Huge progress! Plan for today: follow up MRI and try to eat a little something. And lots of rest.

What a champion you are, Lauren! These first days out may be incredibly rough, but you are so strong. Love that you rocked PT & 30 minutes in a chair after this surgical ordeal is truly amazing!!! So so happy the procedure went so smoothly yesterday. Cheering for you, mama!
