I met with the plastic surgeon, Dr. Ranganath, this week. He was wonderful; explained things in easy to understand terms and he was super warm and caring. I feel like I have an incredible medical team behind me. I need to make a big decision regarding reconstruction. I can either use implants or use my own abnormal fat/tissue. The surgeries are drastically different with very different recoveries. I have plenty of time to read up on them as no decision needs to be made till after mastectomy and chemotherapy. 

Today was hard as I had to say farewell to my second grade class. The students all wrote me heart-warming notes and get well soon cards this week. One wrote, “I don’t know how you get cancer, but you don’t deserve it because you’re one of the sweetest people I know.” All of the cards made me choke and tear up. Such amazing words from 7 and 8 year olds. They are showing so much bravery as their teacher goes into battle! I will miss my class so much and can’t wait to see them after I make a full recovery!! 

Our family will spend Passover Seder together tomorrow night and then head to Disney for some family bonding and memory making. Can’t wait to share my love of Disney with my kids!!
