IM2 has really given us a run for it. I don’t know if it feels harder because we are all exhausted and so is Emmy’s little body, but we are so ready to be on the other side of the frontline therapy.
Last night Emmy and I headed to the ER around 130am for fevers. Anytime Emmy gets a fever we have to go to the ER.
Even with Emmy staying home and away from germs she is still managing to get sick! At our clinic visit on Thursday her counts were good enough for chemo. But because of her congestion they did not do her procedure.
They also checked her IGG( an immunoglobulin that helps fight infections) which came back low, and we will now likely be getting infusions of IVIG in clinic. Another hurdle, but at least it will have her feeling better 🤞🏻
We got discharged from the ER early this morning. Her counts looked good still, she got the obligatory prophylactic antibiotic, blood cultures and nose swab! No surprise that she came back positive with a virus. We’re hoping to see nothing on the blood cultures, but they take 24-48 hours.
Happy to home.
Keep the prayers coming! ❤️
