Day 42
Koehn Family
Emmy is still in the PICU, however, she is no longer intubated! We are so relieved to see our baby talk and smile again!
The doctors are still trying to figure out exactly what caused Emmy's siezure.
She will be getting 2 MRI's and hopefully a lumbar puncture later this week to give us more answers.
In the mean time, we are reorienting Emmy to the hospital, will be working with PT/OT/speech, and starting a feeding tube to help with her nutrition.
We were suppose to start the Consolidation phase of her leukemia treatment this week, but that will be on hold until other testing has been complete and we have more answers.
Prayers and positive vibes are highly appreciated for a full recovery from her current condition and a safe plan to restart Leukemia treatment.
Our continued gratitude to all our supports.
Shout out to Meghan, who has to do all the dirty work, and take care of our baby B.
Shout out to Sam and Trevor for taking in Cooper while we sort things out.
