Kimberly Vaughn and Family
It's hard to believe it's been almost two months since I've shared an update here. As many of you know from Kimberly's Facebook posts, we spent almost two weeks in the hospital back at the end of May to early June due to a small bowel obstruction. The hope initially was the obstruction would correct itself. But when that did not happen, Kimberly had surgery on May 29th and we were discharged the following Wednesday. We've been spending the last month trying to get back on track with eating, treatments. and just having a positive mindset. The hospital stay really messed with the momentum we had going prior to that.
We are grateful to those that have donated money, gift cards, and meals. Your prayers and words of encouragement are just as important. Currently, we are on week 3 of another 6 week cycle of Insulin Potentiation Therapy with low dose chemotherapy. This is the treatment not covered by insurance and costs over $3,300 per week.

Below are specific prayer requests to share-
- Financial Provision- many people have been very gracious with their donations. I can't speak enough to how people have stepped up to give. That being said, our funds will be nearly depleted after this next cycle ends. I am waiting on the results of our reimbursement request to my insurance that is being handled by a third party. Pray for favor in that pursuit.
- Our Marriage- the last 5 months have been tiring for both of us. Pray that we can prioritize our relationship as husband and wife. This can be difficult when we always have something to deal with related to appointments, medical bills, trying to work, and spend time with the kids.
- Parenting- Our kids seems liked they aged 3 years when we were in Mexico. They have grown in different ways. They are also teenagers, lol. Pray for our ability to spend meaningful time with them and not lose sight of the importance of relationship.
Thank you again for your love and support. May God Bless each of you richly,
Chad
