Today marks one year since we went to the ER to try and figure out what was going on with Kimberly.  As we started getting results of bloodwork and scans and then talking to the doctor, I just remember being in shock and disbelief.  I never would have imagined the c-word would be at the root cause of all of these symptoms.

Here we are 365 days later, and God is STILL good!  He has been faithful to us in so many ways I can't even begin to express.  Only by His strength and provision have we been enable to navigate this journey.  We have been so blessed by the prayers, support, and encouragement from a multitude of people.  One of the biggest blessings is the support we've been getting from people we wouldn't necessarily think of or expect.  Just one of the many ways our Father has shown us that we are never alone...

Currently, we are in a bit of a waiting period as we are looking to schedule a PET scan after some time away as a family.  I am certainly looking forward to a change of pace and some rest!  The past 6 months especially have been both great and grueling at the same time:
7 weeks in Mexico
24 trips to DC for IV therapy and insulin potentiation therapy w/ low dose chemotherapy
2+ weeks at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore, MD
$160k+ in medical expenses

When I look back at all that KImberly has been through and how she continues to press into her faith, I am both amazed and grateful.  Each day is a gift and an opportunity to share the love of Christ.  I admit, that isn't easy.  Many days, I'm just trying to get by or get my mind out of the gutter in regards to negative thinking or thoughts of hopelessness.  But when I seek the Lord, He is always readily available to remind me that He is with us, and that "discipline, though painful at the moment, ultimately produces righteousness and peace for those who accept and learn from it." -Hebrews 12:11.

Thank you all for your continued prayers, words of encouragement, and support.  Specific prayer requests would be for Kimberly's continued physical healing and favorable test results, guidance and provision for the next part of this journey, and the strength and wisdom to press on in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

May God Bless Each of You!
Chad
