We are heartbroken to share that Kendal passed away peacefully late Wednesday night, with us by her side. She was surrounded by love, and the medical team kept her comfortable throughout.

I would like to express my sincerest condolences to Kendall's entire family. I work at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine, and I had the privileged of working with her from 2017 up until she left and went over to the Registrar's office. The entire time I worked with her, she was the absolute sweetest and truly a nice person. When we first started working together and I had to work on entering data into our FEDS system for new faculty. She sat with me walked me through every sub category of the forms and told me "NO question is a dumb question! So please reach out to me with any questions you have." She welcomed me to Informatics department with such a beautiful smile and excitement of me coming on board with the Informatics department. When I loss my son in September 2020 and when we started to return back to the office after COVID around 2021/2022, we passed one another in the hallway, and she stopped me and asked could she give me a hug? I said sure, we did and she expressed how sincerely sorry she was to hear about the passing of my oldest son. That truly meant the world to me, because it gave me hope that I would get through my loss, and I had coworkers who truly showed me support, in addition to my family and close friends. I pray for her entire family and friends comfort and strength to get through this difficult and tragic loss. I will keep you all in my prayers.

I am so deeply sorry to hear this news. Beautiful, kind Kendall, my co-worker at Penn and fellow Septa-regional-rail traveller. I am grateful to have known you--your humor, your warm smiles were a godsend on those evenings when we found ourselves on the platform trying to get home to our families, only to have Septa post ever later trains. Kendal became one of my first friends when I started working at Penn in 2008. I admired her love and devotion to family and her faith. My heart goes out to your family as you walk through this grief. I was very sorry to hear of Kendall’s passing. She was such a warm and generous presence during our time at Wharton—always kind, and always willing to help others (I still remember the times she and Dennis lent us their bigger car when we needed it). Though we lost touch over the years, I’ve often thought of her with great appreciation. My heartfelt condolences to Dennis and all who knew and loved her. She will be missed.
