Kelly completed her 3rd radiation treatment today. The treatments have been rough on Kelly as she's usually hit with waves of fatigue, nausea, and some aches/pain. Right now she's scheduled to have treatments everyday (no weekends) until she reaches 10 treatments.

Following that, we should get back the results of the molecular testing which will tell us what type of non-small cell cancer she has. The doctors seem 80% sure that the cancer was caused by cell mutation. Assuming that is the result, she will likely continue with radiation and have the option to take a pill for treatment. Should it not be a mutation, the treatment would likely be chemotherapy and immunotherapy. We hope to have these results mid to late next week.

Kelly will also be switching out her chest tube with a pleurx drain tomorrow which will allow us to drain any fluid build up at home. The last we were told was that we could be released as early as tomorrow (Jan 15th). I pray this holds true so Kelly can be home and have a chance to love on Allie and Brooke. They are in good hands with my parents but I know Kelly misses them greatly.

Kelly, just keep your chin up and keep on fighting! I can't speak to the radiation, but if you have chemo/immunotherapy I have been on that for 6-9 months. Crazy schedule, but it's working and you have to watch out for the side effects. Just keep fighting! You have so many people that need you and you need them ❣️😊! I am praying for you every day! Just know that the Lord has you in the palm of his hand and he doesn't let go!
