Kayla and Daniel’s Anniversary

Today marks 15 days since we lost Daniel, five days since we gathered to say goodbye, and what should have been Kayla and Daniel’s 7th wedding anniversary.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended Daniel’s services, donated, shared this page, brought food, sent messages, and surrounded Kayla and Luca with love. The outpouring of support has been extraordinary.

But the need for that support did not end when the funeral ended.

Kayla is now facing the overwhelming reality of rebuilding a life she never expected to navigate without Daniel. She is wading through paperwork, phone calls, financial decisions, and countless logistics while simultaneously grieving her husband and helping Luca grieve his dad. The road ahead is long, and right now, showing up matters more than ever.

So please keep showing up. Keep checking in. Keep sharing this page. If you are able, keep giving. And please keep talking about Daniel.

Tell his stories. Say his name. Remember his humor, his generosity, his creativity, and the way he brought people together. Supporting Kayla and Luca means helping carry them through the difficult months ahead — and keeping Daniel’s memory alive in the community he worked so hard to build.
