Today marks four weeks since Kayla lost her husband and Luca lost his daddy.
Despite navigating a living, waking nightmare, Kayla and Luca are doing remarkably well, finding moments of joy and taking life one day at a time. But the challenges are far from over.
Kayla is now facing an overwhelming maze of bureaucracy—managing their mortgage, accessing Daniel's life insurance and Social Security survivor benefits, and navigating endless paperwork and red tape. All while grieving an unimaginable loss and raising their young son.
The funeral is over, and the world keeps moving. But for Kayla and Luca, the hardest work of rebuilding their lives is only beginning.
