What a ride! I had been feeling increasingly unwell over the past couple of weeks. I was already under a new oncologist care and awaiting a new series of images, but it all crept up so fast. After feeling winded, out of breath, sweat & chills and like my “heart was going to burst” I checked myself in. It was a lot to maneuver what to do with the kids etc but I am grateful I had the perfect angels in place to allow me a weekend gettaway to the luxurious “Boca Regional Resort” 😝 as I call it. Well the ER knew what to do! They moved fast, intervened objectively and we discovered MULTIPLE Pulmonary Clots (on both 🫁)… cause by cancer. It was making mt body clot excessively and without proper oxygenation to my heart, the heart was under significant strain.

Well let me tell you- we got creative. Not knowing if the anticoagulants would work that extensively my magic medical team & I agreed we needed to go in & take those bad boys out. I was awake and felt everything. We had music playing in the room. Some great laughs, a lot of trust, a patient-team connection and a lot of breathwork thru staying still! Felt like someone’s fingers going thru your heart & lungs. 

The next day in ICU I woke up BREATHING BETTER, in my mom & brother’s birthday!
