4 Week Update!

On Thursday, Justin officially hit the four-week mark since having his defibrillator implanted! With that milestone, all of his restrictions have been lifted, and he can finally resume life as normal. We even got a little head start on celebrating last week with a date night to see Hamilton! Now, we’re turning our attention to the next step as we head to Plano on Tuesday for our consultation with the surgeon.

We are both anxiously awaiting this appointment and are hopeful that it will bring some clarity about what lies ahead and what the next steps will look like. We’ll be sure to share an update here once we know more.

We also had a big answered prayer this week: our foster dog, Eggroll, found his forever home! With Tuesday’s appointment approaching and so much uncertainty about what the coming weeks may hold, we had asked the rescue to help us find a new foster home for him. We are incredibly thankful that instead of transitioning to another foster, Eggroll was able to go straight to his new family. Knowing that he is safe, loved, and settled in his forever home is such a weight off our hearts as we head into this next step with Justin.
