We had an early morning at Emory Proton Cancer center! Everyone was so nice & everything went really well! We met Dr. Eaton and she was calm, sweet, and very clear in how she explained things to Judah! After meeting with the doctor and signing consents, they accessed Judah’s port and then he went up to CT to get fitted for his leg mold that will help him lay in the exact same position each time he goes in for proton. This bean bag molds around how is comfortable for them and Judah was able to tell them just how he likes his legs. The child life specialist was great and they did such a good job! He was also able to use this mold in the MRI machine and that helped him hold still for the entire 40 minutes! He did so well! We were so grateful for this, because he didn’t need to be sedated for his mri. We are already so grateful for the amazing support so many have given and it’s been a great comfort to us that we are not alone in this journey! We are resting now and later today will go meet the surgeon. She will be looking at his new mri images. Also, tomorrow we will meet his CHOA oncologist Dr. Stokes.
