Surgery is nearly done! Joy has been doing great! The orthopedic surgeon just came by to let us know that her part is done and the lip revision is about 10 mins from being complete. She showed us this X-ray of Joy’s hand now with her fingers no longer fused! It’s so crazy to me that we’ve been talking about having this surgery since October 2024 and it’s finally done. I’ll update again whenever we start to get ready to leave, hopefully tomorrow morning. As for me, I’m about to go soak in a ton of Joy snuggles! Please pray for her recovery process as I’m sure it’ll be extremely frustrating not having use of her dominant hand :(
