Hey y'all,

Technically this update is past due.

Jury selection was suppose to begin today, August 3rd, but the trial has been postponed until October 5th.

Yes, this is frustrating to both Joshua and I because we really want this to be over.

However, we are trusting in the Lord knowing that He knows everything going on and His timing is always best!

IN OTHER NEWS:

If you remember, the defense appealed the Stand Your Ground verdict a few months ago. We've been waiting for the Appellate Court to rule for several months now.

This past week, they ruled on it DENYING the appeal!

Praise the Lord!

So now the only options are a trial or plea deal and, as of right now, no plea deal is being offered.

Another quick update about Joshua:

He's been doing acupuncture for about 2 months now...and I wish I could report it's working well, but, as of right now it's not turning out to be as good as we hope. He's going to give it another month and we will reevaluate.

I'm sorry to read that the acupuncture isn't yielding the results you had hoped. I knew a lady who always said " when the time is right, the deal is real" and yes patience is a virtual, hard fought, and won.

First of all, thank God for all the positive updates! Secondly, I know you must be getting umpteen suggestions on what you should try, but I would ask you to consider counter strain therapy. It's a different approach to pain, cause and effect. The body has protective mechanisms to deal with pain, to protect you from pain. Counter strain gets to the root cause of the pain and undies all the protective measures to actually help the body heal itself. I'm praying for your husband and your family. God bless, Lana

I can't imagine the disappointment hearing that the trial has been postponed. I don't know if what I'm about to write will bring any kind of hope, but I pray it does. While I'm not into numerology or anything of the sort, I do know God speaks to us through everything and numbers in the bible hold huge significance. October 5th is my favorite day of the year. 5 is the number of grace. October is the 10th month in the Gregorian calendar so double 5 or God's supernatural power to overcome. In the military when using radio, they have a response of "5 by 5" meaning I read you loud and clear. I pray He speaks to you in everything....and everywhere. I know this is controversial, especially for Christians, but have you tried any medical marijuana products? They have been proven to help with pain from cancer. Maybe it could give your husband some relief?

I would get in contact with Dr. Josh Axe and ask him about stem cell therapy. He had a major back problem where he was paralyzed and had stem cell therapy. I think he said there is a doctor in Texas that does this.
