Joscelyn Family
Picture: some collards I recently harvested from our garden! Joshua was our gardener, but now some of the children and I have taken over. I'm determined to not kill everything lol
Ok I'll start with the news y'all have been waiting for:
Today was the bond hearing where the man who shot my husband filed a motion to be released on bond (again). If you missed the last update, we have a new judge for our case now and we had no idea which way she would go.
Praise the Lord, she ruled NO BOND! We are all breathing a sigh of relief, for sure. Praise the Lord my family can still remain safe and we don't have to worry about him being lose.
Right now, the defense is appealing the Stand Your Ground decision. I do not know how long these things take, however, I am under the impression we should know by the next case management hearing late May and, possibly, a trial will be put on the schedule soon after.
Who knows. One thing I've learned about this whole process is the movies and TV shows are WAY off when it comes to the timing of everything (it is WAAYYYYY slower in real life).
As usual, I'll keep you updated! For everyone who has been praying THANK YOU!! Keep those prayers coming!
Now - a huge request.
Both Joshua and I are in need of help.
1) For me (Felicia) - I need a "mother's helper" to come to our house once a week to focus on the children so I can focus on work and all the other tasks I just don't have time for anymore. This will be a paid position. I will give more details in private.
2) For Joshua - we need an extremely competent and reliable handyman. Joshua did SO MUCH around our place without even putting much thought in to it and we don't have him doing these things anymore. There are many tasks that need to be done and we need someone we can hire to do this.
If you are in our area and are wanting to apply for any of these positions, please contact me directly.
For those not in our area, please pray that the right people are sent our way! While we are SO GRATEFUL for all of the donations and help that have been sent our way since this happened, we have realized we need very specific help in these areas.
As always, thank y'all so much for your continued support and prayers. We can never have enough prayer!
