Jonah has started using a stander! We have been able to borrow one from Jonah’s Help Me Grow early intervention team to see how it works out for him and that’s been such a blessing. We’re able to use this one for the foreseeable future and once we have to give it back we’ll need to submit a request to insurance for our own. 

Unfortunately, with things like standers and wheelchairs, insurance only covers 1 every 5 years so we’re hoping to use this one for as long as possible so we can order the next size up to use as Jonah grows. But as the rate Jonah has been going these last few months who knows if we’ll even need one next year. 

The stander is so good for Jonah. Since he’s not standing independently yet, it allows him to work on weight bearing and help his hips form properly. Once he is used to the stander, we’ll be able to try oral feeds in it, which I think will help pass the time a little easier.

Jonah likes to show off for his Help Me Grow therapists and tolerated the stander like a champ. Please pray he starts to put up less of a fight for me to make his sessions a little more tolerable
