Jonah and I began our second round of HBOT at home! We caved and bought a tablet and are using Ms Rachel to get us through the hour long sessions. With such a tight space, there’s not much room for consoling a screaming baby, so whatever works to survive is what we’re going to do!
After we get to pressure Jonah is fine…as long as I don’t move or shift to make myself more comfortable 🙃 I miss the chambers in Dr Harch’s office though. Since they were hard chambers, they were glass all around so you didn’t feel like you were in a confined space. Home chambers are soft, so you can only have a couple small windows since that material isn’t strong enough to sustain the pressure. I definitely feel a little claustrophobic but I’m hoping that goes away as we dive more.
Unfortunately we already had to pause today since Jonah has a stuffy/runny nose. Getting in the chamber with any type of cold or congestion isn’t advised and we want him to be as comfortable as possible so we’ll take a break and support his immune system as best as we can!
