Jolene Sloan
Last Saturday, Jolene was gifted a ride-on car by Go Baby Go! This organization partners with local high school & college students who are interested in engineering, or pediatric physical or occupational therapy, and adapts battery-powered cars for kiddos with limited mobility. Jolene was selected as a recipient, and it was such a fun morning seeing her learn how to use the car and enjoy driving it around!
On Sunday we went to Moonlight Rollerway for a Mother's Day morning skate & roll around the rink. Kids were invited to cruise around in their wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility devices and have some good, old-fashioned fun at the roller rink. I might have had more fun than Jolene, but I think she enjoyed all the music, neon, and certainly the obligatory blue-raspberry ICEE that brought back all my favorite 90s roller rink memories!
We're so grateful for adaptive experiences like these where Jolene can have fun and be fully herself!
