No we're not. Last night was a little restless as my body naturally would wake up for Nurse checks on vitals, to take medications, CBC draws, and shift changes that were not happening. I am sure as time goes on my body will start to readjust and I will get more rest.
Yes, my first day home was great but very very busy. I needed to start and learn a whole new medication protocol, a RN came in to train us on IV set-up and use for additional medications, and line care. We took a lot of notes and video of the instruction. My home now feels a little more like a off site clinic then a house right now but it's still a improvement. Don't get me wrong my care and facilities were great but 30 days on the inside going through a very intensive procedure was an endurance race.
I have so many of you who read my posts to thank for helping me through that leg of this journey. Thank you all again for spreading the word, the donations, prayer, kind words of support, cards and gifts.
Oh, but anyway, Toto, we're home. Home! -Dorothy
