"The day I get outta prison, my own brother picks me up in a *police* car!" -Jake
You read that correct, my time has been severed, my counts have risen enough for discharge from the Bone Marrow Transplant floor. I have returned home this evening. Much to JuAune's surprise when I showed up at the door.
"It’s got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it’s got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It’s a model made before catalytic converters so it’ll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?" -Elwood
I also left the floor fully loaded like the Bluesmobile. I returned home with 11 medications, most taken twice a day. A delivery service dropped off this evening a IV hanger, a box requiring refrigeration full of IV medication. Plus a ton of other support supplies for treatments and tri-line cleaning. In addition a RN will be stopping by tomorrow to teach and train me on how to use everything to treat myself at the house. Looking at it all laid out I do have quite a journey ahead of me.
"Fix the cigarette lighter." -Jake
Yes Jake, I will add it to the list. I am so excited to bring you all todays fantastic news. Thank you for all the support while I have been in the hospital. Today I wanted to share two extra pictures. The first is a plaque with words that must be read aloud. The second is my hand on the rope about to ring the bell 3 times. Enjoy!
I also would like to shout out to everyone who sent cards, I received so very many cards today. I will be hanging them on the wall of the the guest bedroom where I will be in isolation even inside my own home for the next few weeks or so while my numbers improve.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. I will continue to post but they may start to spread out a bit as I work to get into a home treatment rhythm.
