The results are in!
As many readers know last Thursday I went in for Surgery, my 3rd Bone Marrow pull. Today I was in for my Monday out patients visit. The MD was pleased to report preliminary results were in. Per initial testing 100% of the DNA found during testing was the donors marrow. This means several things.
1. The Chemo and Radiation treatment was effective and destroyed all of my Bone Marrow providing a clean nest.
2. After 30 days the donor Bone Marrow not just found it's way to my bones but has started to root.
3. I am now reliant on all stem cell production from my donors marrow.
4. My original DNA blue print used in my construction has been removed this will change me in several ways and we must be very cautious and on guard against GVHD over the next 6 months.
