Good morning. Just wanted to update everyone. Jade had her monthly port flush/ lab work check up yesterday. If you’ve been following along I’ve mentioned that her liver enzymes have been very elevated for a while now. They have come down some but still higher than what they would like to see. They ran some testing yesterday and got a call last night from her head oncologist that they wanted us to come back today to do some more liver studies. Chemo is highly toxic and is filtered through the liver. Jade has had a lot of hard chemo in the last year, so her liver has been put through a lot. Pray that they are able to help find a way to support her liver and that recovery happens for her liver.

At her appointment today, they decided to start some Vitamin K and took more labs to see how her liver is metabolizing some oral chemo she takes daily. This information will let us know if another medication needs to be added to support her liver or not. We will come back next week when they have those results and go from there!
