Jade Cato's Recovery
Jade got her wig from the wigs for kids organization. If you know Jade, you know her beautiful bald head does not bother her one bit. She has never shed a single tear over her hair. She knows she is beautiful with or without hair… which is such a big thing for such a little girl 🤍. This wig is real hair, donated by people for kids just like Jade. It is beautiful and will be exciting for her to wear and style!
Things have been so much more fun for Jade the past month. She has spent so much time with friends and family and very minimal time at the hospital and with doctors. She has moments of sadness but those are fleeting and few and far between. She’s been spending her days swimming and playing!
Sadly our dishwasher leaked pretty bad in our house and turned into a major remodel project. We are staying with my parents while that gets fixed! Very thankful they are close and welcomed us with open arms 🤍.
Jade is seen again on the 27th of March. It is just so amazing to only have to go in once a month. We have made the decision to keep her out of school the rest of the year. It was not made lightly. There are so many benefits. She loves her school and her friends. But honestly her healing is top priority. Sleep and minimal stress are pivotal for her at this time. She doesn’t need to worry about grades and being in school for 8 hours a day. I want to focus on her sleeping, getting good food, sunshine, and laughing. We are doing school at home with resources through her scholarship, but at her pace. She will just need to do some remediation next year, but she is a smart cookie and will be just fine. 🤍
Please continue to pray for Jade. Please thank God for the healing he has continued to bless our amazing girl with.
