Days 31-37

Jazmyne’s symptoms have slowly been improving each day.

Her urine frequency has gone from every 15 minutes to about every 40. The pain has subsided, the rash has calmed down, and her ANC, WBC, and HGB have remained steady.

Right now we’re working on stabilizing her platelets, magnesium, blood sugar, and blood pressure. The elevated sugar and blood pressure are likely side effects of the steroids she’s still on. Since her rash and liver function have stabilized, the team can begin lowering the steroids and her PCA morphine pain medication.

As those are reduced, we’re hopeful her sugar and blood pressure will stabilize as well.

Randomly Jazmyne has been having stomach pains for no particular reason. Could be that she is now eating solids so just the discomfort of movement to her intestines.

Last night was the first night in over 15 days that we finally felt some relief.

And after weeks of fighting through the nights, that felt like a gift.

Slow progress but real progress.
