No matter how much or for how long you prepare for the loss of a loved one, it is still heart wrenching. May you find comfort with family, friends, and faith knowing that Kristin is no longer suffering. My sincerest condolences. Donna Driscoll

Sending so many prayers. I worked with Kristin and she delivered my son. She always told me he’s the only baby that as soon as he was delivered he had his eyes open and was looking at her. She will be missed but she’s dancing in heaven.

I’m so sorry to hear this, but also relieved that she no longer has to fight and suffer, she can rest and be at peace. Kristin β€œDemo” has always had a special place in my heart and we shared a special bond since she was in high school, on The lacrosse team! May her beautiful outlook on life continue on with Mike, Maddie and Miles. A wonderful soul was lost on earth but gained in heaven!

Sending love from Kristin's Birmingham Covington School community. Kristin was an amazing student who grew into a caring and compassionate mom, wife, and doctor. I am a better person for knowing Kristin. Maddie, Mike, and Miles, you were blessed with the best mom. She will be watching you as a guardian angel.

My heart breaks. I got to know Kristin during her residency and found her warm, funny, and kind. I remember once catching up to her in the hospital hallway, well after her shift was over, fairly late at night. She was carrying a small teddy bear. When I asked her about this, she explained she was taking it to a mom roomed on the other side of the hospital who had experienced an ectopic pregnancy. β€œI feel like those moms sometimes get missed,” she said, β€œand I felt like this was something I could do for her to honor her baby.” She was doing this compassionate act quietly, without fanfare, shared only because I asked her about a small stuffed animal. She turned her own loss into knowledge of how to care for and love others. It’s the best example I have of her compassion and ability to shift her own darkness into a light for those around her Kristin had an incredible heart for her patients, topped only by her love for her family, first for Mike and then for both Miles and Maddie, as each joined her life and became surrounded by her seemingly infinite glow. I will miss you, sweetie.
