Surgery Scheduled!

After a lot of back and forth (and a little begging on my part), we finally have Harrison’s G-tube surgery scheduled for Friday, October 17th. Teddy will be spending the weekend with my mom so Tate and I can both be fully present for Harrison and the necessary training. I can place, tape, and start an NG in my sleep, so I hope the G-tube feels just as manageable once we’re on the other side of the learning curve.
Since starting the NG, Harrison’s weight gain has improved, but he still needs more support. His cardiology team in Boston is aware of the plan and fully supports placing the G-tube before we go back up there. They also want him to gain more weight and for his pressure gradient to increase. Thankfully, his PA Band is working as intended. It was about 35% back in January, and now it’s 65%. Hopefully, those numbers continue to climb over the next few weeks and months.
We know this could mean heart surgery that cuts into the holidays, or even sometime next year (yikes), but we’re ready to drop everything when the time comes.

💙 Prayer Requests 💙

  • Harrison – He turns ONE this Friday! Please pray for a successful G-tube surgery, continued weight gain, protection from all germs as we begin quarantining, and joy as he enters so many new phases.
  • Teddy – That his little heart feels secure and loved while we’re away for a few days.
  • Our Family – Strength, health, and peace as we prepare for this next chapter.

We would be so grateful if you could take a moment on Friday to lift Harrison up in prayer as we celebrate his first birthday and head into this adventure.
