Surgery has been rescheduled for October 15th. While the back and forth is getting almost comical, we're honestly thankful for the push. We know Harrison cannot wait to be NG tube-free! Once we get the G-tube, he will start feeding therapy again weekly to get him taking more food by mouth and work on his swallow aversion.
Harrison has started to crawl! We are overjoyed that he has the strength and energy to be on the move, and he's very motivated to keep up with Teddy. Harrison's 1st birthday went wonderfully, and we were so blessed to have his incredible cake donated through the Icing Smiles organization and local baker Pete Hall. Apparently, Harrison isn't a big cake guy, but he was a trooper!
Thank you to all of our sweet friends who have already donated gift cards for meals and signed up to feed us when we get home. Cooking dinner seems like such a small task, but having it taken off my to-do list relieves a huge burden that I really cannot explain. It does not go unappreciated.
Please continue adding Harrison and our family to your daily prayers and prayer lists at your congregations and Bible studies. We hope Harrison's story and smile remain a constant reminder that even when things feel heavy, God will lighten your load (Matthew 11:28)
