Well, unfortunately the surgery scheduled for today (the 9th) has been postponed again. Over the weekend, Harrison came down with a very contagious viral infection, and the surgical team made the decision to reschedule for four weeks from now. That means we’re another month away from the relief the G-tube was set to bring, which is a definite blow to how we care for him. To say we’re disappointed is an understatement and me more so than anyone. When his fever first spiked, Tate and I had a sinking feeling this might delay things, but we never imagined it would be by a whole month.

These setbacks are part of life, and especially our life. It’s easy to feel discouraged or overwhelmed, but yesterday Teddy was singing one of his favorite songs nonstop, and it got stuck in my head too. The lyrics say: “I’ll praise on the mountain, I’ll praise in the valley, I’ll praise when I’m sure, and praise when I’m doubting.” My greatest comfort is knowing that God is using this timing as protection for Harrison.

We’re so grateful for all of your prayers, and we trust they’ll carry forward to the next surgery date too. Some specific prayer requests as we wait:
