Harrison’s surgery is officially scheduled for the last week of October. As daunting as that feels, there’s a steady peace surrounding it this time. We’ve seen firsthand just how strong he is and how much of a fighter God created him to be. That changes everything.

Of course we still feel the weight of it, but we’re walking into this season with more faith than fear. We know who goes before him, who stands with him, and who holds him in His hands through it all.

One of the hardest parts of parenting a child with a heart defect like Harrison’s is the unknown. There isn’t a clear timeline or a guaranteed future. We don’t know what his life will look like years from now, or how many years we’ll even be given with him. That uncertainty can feel heavy, but it continually brings us back to the truth in Matthew 6:34, that we are to not to worry about tomorrow, because each day has enough of its own. God has never asked us to carry the future, only to trust Him with it.

So we hold tighter to each day. We trust that the same God who has carried Harrison this far will continue to write every part of his story, perfectly and purposefully.

If you think of Harrison, we would love your prayers. Please pray for continued strength, protection, and peace in the days leading up to surgery.

Our brave boy has already overcome so much… and we know he will again 🤍

Also in recent news… Harrison has officially graduated from PT and doesn’t have to go back until we get home from Boston. This is wonderful news because it means he’s meeting and exceeding milestones and it’s one less appointment that we have on our calendar each week. Yay!
