Harper's Recovery
We took Harper in today for a count check. Her platelets have improved but not quite enough to move forward with chemo yet. Her white blood cells are holding strong, but her hemoglobin dropped, requiring another blood transfusion. Her IgG levels came back normal, which is ultimately a good thing.
We had an in-depth conversation with both of her oncologists about count recovery and the next steps with chemotherapy. They also reached out to a Wilms tumor specialist in Atlanta to review the plan and make sure we’re on the right track.
We are incredibly grateful for our clinical specialist, social worker, nurse manager, and nurses who continue to help us advocate for Harper and ensure everyone is aligned.
Regardless of her platelet count, we will move forward with her next cycle on Monday. This will be a six-day admission with one new medication and one she has received multiple times before.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
