Chemo and radiation underway

In support of
Harper's Recovery

Harper began radiation late last week, and today we added chemotherapy to the schedule. We were grateful to be approved for an admission, ensuring we have plenty of support while she navigates both treatments all week.

Before starting this round, Harper got to participate in the "Portrait of Hope" project! Her artwork will be featured on the National Mall later this year to celebrate the country’s 250th birthday.

Her first radiation session went smoothly; she received her sedation in her room, then we bundled her into a wagon for the trip from the children’s hospital to the main building. She drifted off quickly while listening to her Toniebox (she just got an awesome upgrade!). Thankfully, chemo was also uneventful.

We are so grateful for the continued support and prayers as we hope for a smooth week and for Harper’s continued comfort.
